House of Suman - Clarin Misamis Occidental

While heading to Ozamis City from Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park (MOAP) we made a stopover at Municipality of Clarin's House of Suman. It's name as well as its structure, "bahay kubo" or simple shack, caught our attention.

While inside, we were greeted by its accommodating staff. This simple shack houses suman with different kinds flavor such as ube, mango, pinya or cheese. Price ranges from P5.00 to P8.00 per piece.They also have moron, tablea, linikid, kutsinta and ginamos. We have tasted almost all the flavors but ube and cheese caught our taste buds. You can either dine or take out your order. They also serve coffee and hot chocolate.

Accordingly, Suman, aside from being one of the top 10 most popular "pasalubong ng bayan", has been identified as the local government unit’s (LGU) One-Town, One-Product (OTOP). The House of Suman and Pasalubong Center (HSPC) in Clarin is part of the development efforts to position Clarin as the Suman Capital of the Province. Its location is so accessible because it just straddles beside the national highway in going to and from Ozamis City. So when in Misamis Occidental, don't forget to dropby the House of Suman in Clarin. Your family, friends or loveones will be grateful of your pasalubong.
